The New Education and Research Building is the latest building to be brought online at UMass Chan Medical School’s campus. The project team was engaged to design spaces for students and faculty East and West of the proposed building and South of a shared lane. The proposed paving design is inspired by the building geometry and ties into existing paving design on site. The planting design relies on its simplicity to ensure its legibility year after year.

My role in this project included developing the paving and planting designs, rendering plan and perspective views, and assisting in preparing construction documents.
